ACCOUNTANCY WEEK 2008
Day 3: Danao Finale

Finally, the moment of truth had arrived. The last of the Accountancy Week celebration was held at the City Forest Park at Danao, Malapoc Norte, Maasin City. It was the only day where activities were held outside the school. The main highlight of the day was the tree planting activity inside the forest park. It is to promote that we JPIAns are concerned about mother nature. We decided this activity to be held in this place to give ourselves a time to relax and enjoy the celbration and at the same time preserving mother nature.

We arrived at the venue about nine in the morning and right after we planted our seedlings. The park is so huge that there are still lots of space to plant to. There actually no preparations involved prior to this day regarding the competition. Nobody really knows what were to be competed and nobody even know who will compete with such. It was a surprise day for every body. A real explosives for a finale, and we call them on the spot competitions and everything, from the opening prayer to the last parlor game.

The program started with the singing of the national anthem, the school hymn, the opening prayer and the opening speech. All of them delivered by the randomly selected JPIAns. Way pugsany, way balibaray. There were still a lot of things to come and the whole crowd were anxious and excited if who will be next. But in the end it was all for the enjoyment and everybody as we come to end this year’s celebration.
