It was first promoted by the Club of Left-Handed People in the United Kingdom during 1992. The first Left-Handers\u2019 Day was observed in 1976 by Dean R. Campbell, the Founder of Left-handers International, Inc. It is a very special day to celebrate and give extra support to left-handed individuals. This celebration aims to raise awareness of the challenges and discrimination that left-handers usually encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a 2020 study, the Netherlands had the highest percentage of left-handed people, with around 13.23% of the population identifying as such. Other countries with high rates of left-handed people include the United States and Canada, both around 13% of their population. In a research study, it is noted that left-handed people are more likely to be creative and inclined with music and arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Philippines, there are estimated to be around 12.21% of left-handers in the country, in reference to PsychologyToday (2023).
