โœˆ๏ธ 45 Pilgrims Safely Arrive in Rome: A Journey of Faith Begins

June 25, 2025 | Rome, Italy

With hearts full of gratitude and spirits uplifted by the prayers of many, 45 priests from the Diocese of Maasin have safely landed in Rome, Italy, as part of a spiritual pilgrimage. Their flight touched down at exactly 1:36 PM (Roman Time), marking the beginning of a profound journey of reflection, fraternity, and renewal.

Immediately upon arrival, the group proceeded to their first sacred destinations: the Basilica of Saint Lawrence Outside the Walls and the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. These two historic basilicas, rich in the traditions of early Christianity, offered the pilgrims a meaningful start to their spiritual journey.

The visit to St. Lawrence Minor Basilica reminded the priests of the call to humble service, following the example of the martyr Saint Lawrence. Meanwhile, the majestic St. Paul Outside the Walls allowed them to honor the legacy of Saint Paul the Apostleโ€”known for his missionary zeal and unwavering faith.

๐Ÿ™ โ€œWe are deeply thankful for your prayers. Please continue to journey with us in spirit as we walk through the sacred grounds of our faith,โ€ shared one of the pilgrims.

This pilgrimage, deeply rooted in the Churchโ€™s spiritual heritage, aims to deepen the participants’ commitment to their vocation, strengthen priestly brotherhood, and offer prayers for peace, unity, and the faithful back home.

Stay tuned for more updates as the pilgrimage continues across the Eternal City.
