Saint Joseph College and LGU Maasin City Conduct Basic Computer Literacy Training for Barangay Secretaries
The Community Extension and Services Office (CESO) of Saint Joseph College, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Maasin City through the City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO), successfully held a Basic Computer Literacy Training for barangay secretaries at the Saint Joseph College Audio-Visual Room LAST December 2024
The activity aimed to enhance the digital skills of barangay secretaries, many of whom have limited computer background, to improve their efficiency in documentation, reporting, and communication.
Faculty and students from the College of Computer Studies served as the resource persons and facilitators, providing hands-on training in basic computer operations, file management, Microsoft Office applications, and online tools.
Participants expressed appreciation for the training, noting that the skills they gained will greatly assist them in performing their administrative duties.
This collaboration between Saint Joseph College and LGU Maasin City emphasizes the importance of strengthening local governance through capacity-building initiatives that promote digital literacy at the grassroots level.
