The SJC Junior High School Department held its most anticipated night of the academic year – The Junior’s Ball for the Grade 9 & 10 students at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium on April 5, 2025. A luminous night shared through dance and song where stories and moments are forever preserved and cherished.

With a theme โ€œStarry Night”, the students and faculty members brought with them their stunning gowns, elegant tuxedos and dazzling smiles that sparkle like stars in the endless night sky. The ballroom was filled with all sorts of decorations and set-ups that livened the mood making the occasion memorable and ecstatic.

The event began with the JHSSG President, Ms. Reeze Jyle Bernaldez giving her speech with a warm welcome to the faculty and students followed by the turn-over ceremony for the newly elected officers of the JHSSG to take over the positions for the next academic year as they lead with responsibility and discipline.

After the ceremony, the Cotillion and Promenade Dances took place with the students sharing precious moments with their partners as they dance gracefully under the golden chandeliers. Their starry outfits glimmer throughout the entire ballroom like a meteor shower.

Nearing its conclusion, the climax of the celebration which is the Coronation of the Prom King & Queen for this year’s Junior’s Ball commenced as the tension grew stronger with all of the students anticipating on which of the candidates will take home the crown. Cheers and applauses erupted as the candidates from St. Dorothy, Mr. Kent Jerome Dator and St. Clare, Ms. Maeve Jazelle Calva emerged triumphant as the Prom King & Queen 2025 respectively.
