It was our parents who brought us into this life, but it is the capeless figures who came by as serendipitous presents that shed light on our life, mentoring us on the quest for knowledge, the art of discovery, and the application of ethics in real life. On the 3rd of October, was a special occasion for honoring the hardships our persevering teachers have gone through in creating the best future for each one of us to live in.

In giving the most sincere appreciation and love for their unceasing efforts, the school prepared a short and extra-special event for the beloved instructors. The event was blessed with a Thanksgiving mass that was presided over by Father Johnrey Sibi.

After sanctifying the succeeding program, the teachers were gifted with a song rendition from the SJC Choraleโ€”a piece so captivating it moves one to awe. It was then followed by a dancing performance by the schoolโ€™s ever-talented KAST, an electrifying hype that thrilled the teachers and students watching alike.

To further exhibit the love of the inspired hearts for their teaching heroes, a special video presentation was displayed on the LED screen, with students from across every department expressing with exuberance their last declaration of โ€œHappy Teacherโ€™s Day! โ€ Banners were unfolded with words that wrote the same, pieces of confetti cascading vibrantly from the building.

Ms. Loujille Soriano, from the SJC Chorale, sang a heartwarming song entitled โ€˜Thanks to Youโ€™โ€”just the right words to describe the gratefulness that each of us carries today and throughout the whole school year, the same words that may not reach the ears of whom must be told but are felt by the chests of whom they must be for.

The event concluded with the distribution of gifts, each given with a Duchenne smile, each received with the same type of smile. It doesnโ€™t matter the monetary value of the gift, but the appreciation it receives weighs more than what itโ€™s worth.

The work of a teacher deserves to be appreciated, seen, and recognized. Not only for today, but through the whole course of our educative life. We, as students, are taking a rather complex pathโ€”bumpy, rocky, and full of detoursโ€”but with the lending hand of a teacher, this journey becomes just a little less unbearable.

So, say your thank youโ€™s. Appreciate their efforts. And give back what has been given. The work of a teacher is hectic, but it gets better when seen, valued, and celebrated. Once again, happy Teacherโ€™s Day to all!
