The Tourism and Hospitality Management Department of Saint Joseph College carried out an inspiring mangrove planting and environmental protection activity at Mahayahay, Maasin City, under the theme โRooted in Nature, Rising for the Future: Tourism Students Protecting Shores.โ
Held along the coastal mangrove area, the event highlighted the vital role of tourism students as advocates for sustainable practices that safeguard natural resources. Participants actively took part in planting mangrove seedlings, which serve as natural barriers protecting coastal communities from erosion and flooding.
