Together as one, the Grade 12 students of Saint Joseph College, hand in hand with their dedicated class advisers, successfully conducted their tree planting activity at Camp Danao, Malapoc Norte, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

This meaningful initiative served as one of the culminating activities of P.E. 104 โ€“ Recreational Outdoor Activities, headed by P.E. 104 teacher Mr. Mark June J. Gozon, together with the class advisers.

Through this activity, the students and advisers planted over 1,000 native tree seedlings, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship and community responsibility.

More than fulfilling an academic requirement, the activity strengthened awareness of the vital role trees play in biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and watershed protectionโ€”helping sustain Maasinโ€™s water resources and ecological balance.

This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

๐Ÿ’ง SDG 6 โ€“ Clean Water and Sanitation

๐ŸŒ SDG 13 โ€“ Climate Action

๐ŸŒฑ SDG 15 โ€“ Life on Land

Beyond the numbers, this experience reminded everyone that protecting the environment begins with collective action and mindful choicesโ€”small efforts today that will create lasting impact for future generations.

From soil to soul, we chose to care,

For Danaoโ€™s trees keep Maasinโ€™s water fair. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ง
