A Grand Welcome for the Grade 11 Class of 2025โ€“2026

On July 3rd, the Senior High School Department of Saint Joseph College rolled out a vibrant and inspiring kick-off event to officially welcome the Grade 11 students for the School Year 2025โ€“2026.

The day began with a prayer led by Misael Bidon, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the SJC Hymn. This solemn opening set a meaningful tone for what was to be a day of celebration and orientation.

๐ŸŽค Warm Welcome and Introductions

Dr. Jhoanne L. Costillas, Ed.D., the SHS Principal, delivered a heartfelt welcome message. She took the time to personally introduce the key officers of the school, fostering a sense of connection and inclusivity among the new students.

Afterward, Sir Karl Cano formally introduced the faculty, staff, and the elected and appointed SHS student government officers, creating a welcoming and familiar environment.

A special intermission number by the SHSSG officers brought enthusiasm and entertainment to the program.


Orientation on Services and Support

The program continued with insightful presentations from key department personnel:

  • Mrs. Julfa Vanessa Fernandez, SHSSG Adviser โ€“ Shared school guidelines and policies for the year, emphasizing transparency and proper conduct.
  • Mrs. Almira L. Miras, Head Nurse โ€“ Presented the medical and dental services available on campus.
  • Ms. Leolina S. Cahayag, Librarian โ€“ Outlined the library resources and services.
  • Ms. Deanne Cabales, Guidance Advocate โ€“ Discussed academic advising, counseling, and career guidance programs.
  • Mrs. Caroline B. Dag-uman, Student Affairs & Services Officer โ€“ Introduced the calendar of activities for the semester, highlighting major events and important dates.

Games and Camaraderie

Excitement filled the air as students engaged in interactive games representing their academic strands. Laughter and energy echoed throughout the venue, building camaraderie and joy among the new Josephinians.

The program concluded with heartfelt closing remarks from Mrs. Agnes Basay, who encouraged students to embrace the year ahead with courage, joy, and ambition.
