As the cool breeze of air swept around the bypass road at Mantahan, Maasin City, where the fun run commenced, students, faculty, and even stakeholders gathered to participate in the Family Run as part of the celebration of the Family Day II: Intramurals 2025. Anchored on the theme, โUnited in Play, Strengthened in Spirit,โ Josephinians actively participated in the event, which serves as an avenue for unity and strengthening as one educational family.
โWith team shirts on, paired with comfortable pants and shoes, each finisher participated first in a warm-up, conditioning themselves for the rally.
โPost-run, the rally finishers who arrived first on the finish line were celebrated in an awarding ceremony held immediately afterwards in the facade of Saint Joseph College. As the event consisted of various categories such as 5 kilometer run, 3 kilometer run, and 1 kilometer run, the participants were able to choose their preferred distance, which ensured the capacity of each participant in finishing the run.
โThe event concluded with an awarding ceremony where the School President, Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, together with Vice President for Academics Dr. Jhoanne Costillas, awarded the top finishers a medal and cash prize as a token of their exemplary speed and endurance in securing the top spot. Indeed, this yearโs Family Run was not just about finishing first, but a celebration that united every Josephinian in becoming a more strengthened Educative Family.
