| Saint Joseph College is honored to receive the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Monitoring Team and the CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) as they conduct the monitoring and evaluation of the College programs.

The assessment is scheduled for July 29–30, 2026.

| Saint Joseph College, in coordination with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, conducts an orientation on PhilHealth’s Yaman ang Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) at the CCN Mini Theater on Tuesday, July 28.

PhilHealth representatives discussed the benefits of the Konsulta Program, which offers free consultations, laboratory services, essential medicines, and regular health monitoring.

SUSTAIN-M Project | The City Government of Maasin officially forged a partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing for the implementation of the SUSTAIN-M Project.

The Saint Joseph College Tourism and Hospitality Management Department initiated this development and sustainability project to promote the mangrove ecosystem and the Pagatpat Islet — bearing the Sto. Niño monument in Barangay Mahayahay, as a community-based tourism destination.

The meeting was graced by City Mayor Luz V. Mercado, School President Rev. Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, PhD, SThL-MA, and the local government officials.

The SUSTAIN-M Project of Saint Joseph College formalized its commitment to adopt the islet and its mangrove ecosystem as part of its sustainable tourism initiative.

The whole SJCEF community marks its Educative Family Day I with the theme “Gathered in the Spirit, Strengthened in Fellowship.”

The theme emphasizes that community begins with a shared spirit and is strengthened through common experiences of listening, collaborating, forgiving, and encouraging one another.

This morning, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bishop Precioso Cantillas presided over the Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Maasin Cathedral-Shrine.

Before the final blessing, the school honored its student-athletes who represented Saint Joseph College at the recent Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur by awarding them incentives.

Presenting the newly appointed key officials of the Saint Joseph College effective this Academic Year 2026-2027.

These appointments aim to strengthen academic programs and administrative support, guided by the school’s vision and goals in preparation for its centenary.

The faculty of the Saint Joseph College – Elementary Department successfully participated in the 1-Day Genyo Utility Training: Reimagining Lesson Design Through Digital Learning Playlists, conducted today in preparation for the opening of classes. Facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀, the training provided teachers with valuable insights and practical strategies for enhancing lesson design through digital learning tools and innovative instructional approaches.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our 𝗟𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗮, for her unwavering support and assistance. The continuation on Day 2 of the CTE In-Service Training Seminar 2026, themed “Student-Centered Excellence: Responsive Teaching, Rigorous Assessment, and Continuous Improvement," held in the College Library on June 23, 2026.

Led by the guest speaker, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗼, 𝗠𝗔𝗘𝗱, faculty members strengthened the said training during the second day of meaningful discussions centered on the implementation of the new lesson plan format through insightful discussions, hands-on workshops, and collaborative learning sessions, aimed to reinforce the Department's commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Moodle LMS Faculty and Staff Training

The faculty and staff of Saint Joseph College completed an Learning Management System (LMS) training on its recently implemented e-learning platform, Moodle.

The whole-day training session was facilitated by the School Information Technology Office Coordinator, Bro. Joseph Demiao, MITE.

The training aimed to enhance participants’ digital competencies and maximize Moodle’s features in creating flexible and technology-driven learning experiences for Josephinians

The SJC Civil Engineering Program has been granted Level I PAASCU Accreditation for three (3) years.

In its pursuit of full accreditation, Saint Joseph College remains committed to academic excellence and holistic development. The Civil Engineering Program provides students with a strong foundation in engineering principles, preparing them to become competent and responsible professionals.

On June 4-6, 2026, Saint Joseph College held its annual In-Service Training (INSET) Program in preparation for the Academic Year 2026-2027 at the CCN Mini Theater.

The SJC INSET 2026, in connection with its theme, “The Catholic School at the Service of the Church and Society,” fostered integral dedication and excellence aligned with the evangelizing mission of the Church through quality Christian education.

Throughout its 3-day course, a series of sessions and workshops were given to the teaching and non-teaching personnel. It featured group sharing, discussion, and reflection, which allowed the staff to exchange ideas, experiences, and practices. This manifested a shared understanding of institutional direction, a profound sense of mission, and co-responsibility in providing excellent service in the noble work of Catholic education.

The activity strengthened not just the personnel’s knowledge and skills but also cultivated a deeper understanding of one’s own role. Together, through the intercession of Saint Joseph, we continue to learn, serve, and lead—committed to providing quality education centered on Christ.

The SJC Elementary Department celebrated its graduation ceremony on April 15, 2026.

Saint Joseph College Educative Family joins with the several Higher Education Institutions across Eastern Visayas in the synchronous online celebration of the 32nd Founding Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the 6th National Higher Education Day.

In a virtual program, the program highlights the theme: “ACHIEVE-ing Knowledge Economy Together for a Future-Ready Bagong Pilipinas,” that envisions CHED in strengthening Philippine higher education that contributes to a knowledge-based economy, while aligning “Bagong Pilipinas” framework.

Happy Anniversary, Commission on Higher Education!

Ms. Ebeth B. Teves, valedictorian of the Class of 2026 and a Tourism Management graduate who earned Magna Cum Laude honors, delivered her Words of Gratitude during Saint Joseph College’s 135th Commencement Exercises on April 18, 2026.

Guided by an optimistic outlook, she called on her fellow Josephinians to meet challenges with grace, noting that the meaning of perseverance is most deeply appreciated by those who have lived through it.
