๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ก๐ ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ฌ โ Saint Joseph College - College of Computer Studies held its yearly General Assembly, Yesterday, July 13, 2026, for the Academic Year 2026-2027.
The event formally started at 1:00 p.m. with the Opening Remarks by Mrs. Haidee Galdo. This was followed by the introduction of this year's officers and faculty, as well as the recognition of the two Capstone groups for the publication and successful launch of their systems. Afterward, the Rules and By-Laws were discussed, followed by the showing of this year's official CCS department shirt. A Tribute Video dedicated to Ma'am Riza Lynn O. Siega, the College's former Dean, was then screened. After the tribute, the upcoming CCS Days were discussed, and lastly is the election of mayors.
Bringing excitement to the program is the intermission performance from Mr. Franco Clacio. Also giving the students excitement, extra knowledge, and fun is a short, IT-related quiz segment, which is the CCS Trivia.
The College's Governor, Ms. Claire Julianne Villaruel gave her closing remarks before the end of the program.
The purpose of this General Assembly is to formally welcome the new students and transferees and also to equip them, and at the same time, to guide, and remind the continuing students about knowledge for the onset of the new academic year.

For 30 years, you have dedicated your life to this department and have given nothing but your hard work, support, and genuine care to everyone around you. You have been one of the greatest teachers, mentors, and friends to many, and we are truly grateful to have experienced your guidance and kindness.
We have always admired how active and present you were as our Dean. There was never a time that we felt you were not there for us. Despite all your responsibilities, you always found time to listen to our concerns, support our ideas, and guide us in the best way possible. You handled us students with so much patience, understanding, and compassion, and for that, we will always look up to you.
Thank you, Maโam, for every sacrifice you made for the department, for always understanding and supporting us as student officers, and for being so hands-on with all your students. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity to have been led by someone like you.
As you move on to a new chapter in your life, we hope that you continue to find genuine happiness, good health, and peace wherever life takes you. Your love, dedication, and the impact you made in this department will always remain in our hearts.

The College of Computer Studies, under the leadership of ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ and ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐, and the guidance of our college dean, Mrs. Riza Lynn Siega, engaged in a character-building and team-building activities for the new set of officers for the incoming academic year. Set in the late morning of May 2, 2026, the venue is full of beautiful scenery of the sand, sea, and the greenery, at ๐ณ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐, ๐ณ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐.
Starting the program at 12:00 P.M, a prayer is held to formally start the event, which is led by Mr. Shaun Borata, which is followed by the opening remarks of Mrs. Riza Lynn Siega.
Before lunch is a special and cool performance performed by Reva Saga and Princess Dela Cruz.
Right after the lunch break is the Giving of Token of Appreciation to Outstanding Officers, which is given by the Dean of the College.
Followed suit was the Introduction of New Batch Officers, followed by the officers' messages, along with a series of talks from the faculty, giving advice and encouragement to the new department officers.
Then comes forth the fun, team building games which certainly shapes the spirit and test the officers being key team players.
Ending the day is the Socials and Fellowship Activity, which strengthens their bond and togetherness, for a surely busy new academic year.
The speaker for this event is our very own college faculty, Mrs. Evangeline Javier.
While the emcees for this event is Mr. Karl Serdan and Ms. Cleo Sambayon.
The said team-building event ended in the cool shade of 3:00 P.M. the same day.

After years of learning inside the classroom, the fourth-year students from the College of Computer Studies finally had the opportunity to explore beyond the campus through the Educational Tour in Cebu. Together with our dean, Mrs. Riza Lynn O. Siega, the students visited various heritage sites and Information Technology industries around Cebu City.
This experience allowed students to see the real-world environment related to their field, helping them gain new insights, strengthen their motivation, and broaden their knowledge as future IT professionals.

๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | SJC-CCS turns over student-made PWA Survey System platform at the Provincial Government Office - Southern Leyte Provincial Capitol
Saint Joseph College - College of Computer Studies proudly hands over a student-made system entitled โA Progressive Web Application (PWA) Survey Systemโ at the Provincial Government Office in the Southern Leyte Provincial Capitol, Brgy. Asuncion, Maasin City last May 28, 2026 at exactly 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon.
The system transferred to the provincial government, once a capstone project developed by the now graduated CCS students, officially transitions from a student milestone to a provincial solution, as this enhances the promotion of our local gems while empowering authorities with real-world data, to seamlessly track and manage tourist arrivals in the province.
