The symposium formally opened with an Opening Prayer by Mr. Jolan Simborio, followed by an engaging Audio-Visual Presentation of the National Anthem and SJC Hymn.

A warm and encouraging Welcome Message was delivered by Mrs. Agnes R. Basay, SHS Academic Coordinator, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and compassion within the school community.

This was followed by the Introduction of the Advocates by Mr. Karl Cano, CELO and Assistant SHSSG Adviser, who highlighted the role of mental health advocates in fostering a supportive environment for students.

The highlight of the morning was the insightful talk by Sr. M. Clare T. Bactasa, OSF, Ms. Deanne Cabales, and another guest speaker, who each shared valuable knowledge on mental health, warning signs, emotional struggles, and the importance of seeking help. Their messages encouraged students to be aware, compassionate, and supportiveโ€”reminding everyone that reaching out is a brave and necessary step toward healing.

The program concluded with heartfelt Closing Lines from Ms. Mae Flor O. Marcojos, Social Science Coordinator, expressing gratitude and underscoring the schoolโ€™s ongoing commitment to promoting student well-being.

The entire flow of the symposium was smoothly guided by the host, Ms. Jiceryl A. Bongabong.

This event served as a powerful reminder that every life matters and that the SJC community stands together in creating a safe, caring, and supportive space for all.
