Despite the pouring rain, the students of the Saint Joseph College – College of Nursing proudly participated in the International Nurses Day Fun Run 2026 held at Abgao Bypass last May 23, 2026 at 5:00 AM.
Together with their Clinical Instructors, the future Josephinian Nightingales showed unwavering energy, teamwork, resilience, and dedication as they ran not only for fitness and fun, but also in celebration of the noble profession of nursing.
Rain or shine, the spirit of service and compassion continues to shine brightly among our nursing students proving that nurses are strong, committed, and always ready to care.

On this day, we also celebrate International Nurses Day, honoring every nurse who works tirelessly to care, comfort, and save lives. Behind every act of care is a heart filled with courage, patience, and genuine compassion.

The SJC College of Nursing Faculty is honored to be part of this year's prestigious national assembly held at the Grand Astoria Hotel in Zamboanga City. Their attendance at this significant gathering of the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) underscores their dedication to staying at the forefront of nursing education and professional development. By representing our institution on this national stage, our mentors are collaborating with fellow educators to bring home the latest advancements and strategies that will directly benefit us, their students.
A definitive highlight of their participation was the rare and privileged opportunity to meet with the Board of Nursing (BON), led by the esteemed Chairperson, Hon. Leah Primitiva G. Samaco-Paquiz.
We are incredibly proud to see our faculty representing SJC -CON at such a high level of professional discourse and engaging directly with the leaders who shape the standards of our future profession. This experience reaffirms our collective commitment to excellence as they continue to mold us into the next generation of world-class Filipino nurses.
