History has been made for Region VIII and Saint Joseph College, Maasin City, as Fritz Andreh Nohrel Gerasta captured the Gold Medal in the Full Contact Combat – Featherweight Category of Arnis at this year’s Palarong Pambansa.
Fritz stood out in a division packed with talent, demonstrating strong, calculated defense and a strategic mindset that frustrated his opponents and gave him the edge in every bout. His mastery of timing, movement, and tactical execution earned him the championship title — and the applause of the national Arnis community.
This win marks Gerasta’s third medal in this year’s Palaro, having previously secured Silver in Likhang Anyo Double Weapon and Bronze in Spada y Daga, plus a team Bronze in Synchronized Baston and Spada y Daga with his fellow arnisadors. But this Gold Medal cements his place as one of the most dominant athletes in the national tournament.
