The XY Club hosted its annual Interdepartmental Math Wizards Contest at the CCN Mini Theatre on October 2, 2025. Chosen 1st-year representatives from each college department were given the chance to have a friendly competition with one another in this numbers game.
The event started with an opening remark from the club adviser, Ms. Marife Napuli, who warmly welcomed the XY members, guests, and participants. Afterward, the hosts introduced the representatives competing for the grand title of Math Wizard.
A battle of wit and grit commenced as the participants readied themselves for every question and equation thrown against them. The guest students cheered on their respective department representatives, boosting their confidence and morale.
At the end of the competition, after every math problem and multiple clincher rounds, the CEA Department emerged victorious, claiming the title of Math Wizards.
โMathematics is far more than numbers and formulasโit is a universal language, a tool for innovation, and a bridge between imagination and real-world solutions. In this world full of complexities, the ability to think analytically and solve problems creatively is more valuable than ever,” said Ms. Marife Napuli during her opening remarks.
