Earlier this afternoon, the SJC Senior High School Department conducted its Outreach Program in Brgy. Bilibol, Maasin City, led by the SHS Community Extension Officer, Sir Karl Cano, together with the SHS Principal Dr. Jhoanne L. Costillas, SHS PTA President, Christopher F. Roa, SHS PTA Vice President, Precila T. Siano, PTA Liaison Officer, Ma’am Norina Malto, faculty members of the SHS Department, and selected Senior High School students.
During the activity, essential goods were distributed to the 36 beneficiaries of the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) in Bilibol, Maasin City. In addition, food packs and vitamins were provided to nutritionally at-risk learners of Bilibol Elementary School through a Feeding Program organized by the SHS PTA Officers.
This outreach initiative served as the culminating activity for Social Sciences 107 – Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship, Social Sciences 106 – Trends, Networks and Critical Thinking in the 21st Century, and WI101 – Work Immersion, highlighting the importance of applying classroom learning to meaningful community engagement.
Through initiatives like this, the SJC SHS community continues to nurture empathy, strengthen social awareness, and foster a deeper sense of civic responsibility among students while extending support to communities in need.
Together, we continue to move forward in building a more compassionate, empowered, and hopeful community for all.

Another success for Saint Joseph College - Senior High School Department!
SJC - SHS has officially been granted FAAP Level I Accredited Status, a significant milestone affirming the school’s commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and continuous growth.
Indeed, this achievement serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire SJC community.

The celebration officially kicked off on December 15, as the vibrant Parade of Teams set the ambience for SHS Days at 4:00 PM. With colors soaring high, cheers reverberating across the streets, and each clan proudly marching in unison, the parade highlighted the spirit, creativity, and pride of every Senior High School strand—heralding the energetic start of a day brimming with excitement and purpose.
The opening program of 𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 at the Tagnipa Gym officially marked the start of an unforgettable celebration. The ceremony began with a solemn opening prayer led by Jolan P. Simborio, followed by the singinf of the Philippine National Anthem and SJC Hymn. Inspiring welcome lines from Ms. Agnes R. Basay, SHS Academic Coordinator, set the tone for the day, culminating in the symbolic Lighting of the Torch by Dr. Jhoanne L. Costillas, our SHS Principal—signifying unity, passion, and the spirit of competition.
The program continued with the Oath of Amateurism led by Fritz Gerasta and the Oath Taking of Officials administered by the SSG President, reinforcing fairness and sportsmanship. Excitement filled the venue as the mechanics and judges were introduced, paving the way for the much-anticipated contests—Bench Cheering, Zumba, and the Muse and Escort Competition. Each event showcased not only talent and energy but also teamwork and dedication from every strand.
The contest proper featured captivating performances, from the Muse and Escort Production to powerful bench cheering and high-energy Zumba routines. A special presentation by Teatro Hulagway added depth and artistry to the program, before the proclamation of winners closed the competition segment. With heartfelt closing lines from Julfa Vanessa Fernandez and seamless hosting by Sir Mel Narona, the opening program set the stage for a meaningful, spirited, and memorable SHS Days 2025.
As the opening program came to a close, the energy inside Tagnipa Gym remained alive—filled with cheers, pride, and a shared sense of purpose. What began as a ceremony became a powerful reminder of unity, sportsmanship, and the Josephinian spirit that binds us together. With hearts ignited and spirits lifted, SHS Days has officially begun, and the journey ahead promises moments of passion, excellence, and unforgettable memories for every Josephinian.

Another achievement for Saint Joseph College – Senior High School Department!
Congratulations to our exceptional SHS students for their outstanding performance in the various activities conducted in celebration of the National Statistics Month.
In the Statistical Quiz Bee held at Kuting Reef Resort, 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐮 claimed 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, while 𝐉𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐃. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐬 proudly secured 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.
Meanwhile, in the Poster Making Contest held at the PSA Training Room, 𝐊𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐫 𝐓. 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 achieved an impressive 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.
