Rome, Italy โ On their third day of pilgrimage, the “Maasin 45 Pilgrims of Hope” continued their spiritual and cultural journey across the Eternal City, deepening their faith while embracing fellowship and friendship.
The day began with a reflective visit to the Arch of Constantine, a powerful symbol of victory and Christian legacy, standing adjacent to the iconic Colosseum. Pilgrims gathered for prayer and photos, celebrating a moment of historical and spiritual awe.
As the day unfolded, the pilgrims were treated to warm Italian hospitality. Meals shared at Piazza Navona’s historic Tre Scalini Ristorante, known for its traditional Roman dishes, became moments of laughter, connection, and gratitude. The joy of pilgrimage was evident in their conversations, smiles, and toasts over refreshing drinks.
The group also visited one of Romeโs sacred basilicas, where they posed for a group photo inside the ornately adorned sanctuary, marking yet another spiritual milestone of their journey. This basilica, with its grand interiors and centuries-old history, reminded the pilgrims of the Churchโs timeless call to holiness and hope.
From exploring Romeโs ancient ruins to bonding over pasta and Coca-Cola, Day 3 was a beautiful blend of faith, culture, and community. As the pilgrimage continues, so too does the pilgrims’ shared missionโto grow in faith, carry messages of peace, and walk as true Pilgrims of Hope.
