From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the event was filled with heartfelt moments, engaging presentations, and interactive activities that brought everyone together with purpose.
The program commenced with a solemn prayer led by Roselle Tagra, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem by Loujille Soriano, and the Saint Joseph College Hymn presented by the Multimedia.
A spirited Welcome Address by President Fran Andrew I. Espedilla set the stage for an exciting afternoon. A fun Balitaw intermission by Attila Siega and Kevin Ampoan added laughter and local flair to the lineup.
We then turned the spotlight on our Faculty, YLA, and JPIA Officers, proudly introduced as the team guiding our growth. Bookkeeper Samantha Raye Salvatiera presented the departmentโs new Financial Statements, followed by Executive VP Jhoriz Pino, who laid out the Department Calendar to keep everyone aligned.
A vocal solo intermission gave the audience a breather, paving the way for Budget Officer Illona Reign Salabao and VP for Finance Ma. Teresa Ano to present the Budget Plan and Contribution Breakdown โ ensuring transparency and shared understanding. The ACCOUNTRIX performance brought the energy right back up.
A highlight of the event was an Inspirational Talk from JPIA Adviser Melchor S. Obligado, CPA, MBA, whose words reignited our purpose and passion for the accounting journey.
But perhaps the most unforgettable part was the โGetting to Know Each Otherโ session hosted by Johnn Clint Tan and the VPs for Non-Academics. With students booking โappointmentsโ and mingling freely, it was a beautiful display of how strangers can become a true community. The joy, laughter, and bonds formed in that space reminded us that this department is more than academics โ itโs family.
The event ended on a powerful note with a Mob Dance led by Vice Presidents for Non-Academics Marjou Dalan and Maricar Kuizon, followed by Closing Remarks from Dean Tristan Jun G. Esclamado, CPA, MBA, who left us with words of encouragement and hope.
From structure to spontaneity, from information to inspiration โ this event truly embodied what it means to be part of the Accountancy Department.
As our JPIA Adviser wisely shared, Accountancy is beyond that. To thrive in this journey, you must first look within; understand your purpose, focus on your own path, and never let pressure consume you. Instead, let it fuel your determination.
โMahal ang gasolina, mahala ang gasolina.โ
Love what keeps you going, and let it be the very stepping stone toward achieving your dreams.
JPIA POWER!!!
