In its efforts to place Saint Joseph College in the global education rankings, the Academic Council, together with the faculty, gathered on October 29, 2025, for the SJC Internationalization Ranking Orientation held at the Cantabo Canticum Novum Mini Theater.
The program focused on the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), which aims to strengthen institutional partnerships and assess higher education institutions based on their real contributions to industry and society, with a focus on innovations in research and community engagement.
In this pursuit, the school was privileged to hear from leading experts in higher education internationalization.
Through a hybrid online interface, CHEDRO VIII Internationalization Focal Person Dr. Catherine Onida Iglesias delivered the rationale on how WURI aligns with the school’s institutional goals and regional mandates.
Following this, Prof. Bryan C. Dayuta, Director of Linkages and Internationalization at the Philippine Normal University, delivered a keynote address about proven and practical models for achieving real impact aligned with WURI’s vision.
