We believe that one of the root causes of gender-

based violence is the economic vulnerability of women.

A woman who lacks an independent source of income is often unable to leave an abusive situatiion due to the fear of not being able to provide for herself and her children.

This financial dependence is a significant factor perpetuating cycle of abuse.
