๐ Pickleball: Promoting Wellness Among Josephinians
Through the initiative of the School President, Oscar A. Cadayona, Saint Joseph College of Maasin established a pickleball program with the primary intention of providing wellness activities exclusively for school employees. This initiative reflects the institutionโs strong commitment to holistic well-being.
In support of this vision, Saint Joseph College has embraced pickleball as a recreational sport. Known for its accessibility, fun, and low-impact nature, pickleball promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and social interactionโmaking it an ideal activity for faculty and staff.
To encourage active and healthy lifestyles, the school has provided three pickleball courts:
- Two courts at the Bishop Cantillas Gym (Senior High School Department)
- One court at the Saint Joseph Garden
These facilities offer a welcoming space where employees can engage in regular physical activity, relieve stress, and strengthen camaraderie.
Through the introduction of pickleball, Saint Joseph College continues to uphold its goal of wellness by fostering a culture of movement, balance, and community among Josephinians.
