The Senior High School Research Forum was held on February 27, 2026, at the Upper Bishop Cantillas Gym. The event was hosted by Jose Albert Narona. Before the program officially began, the tension in the room was clear as student researchers prepared for their presentations.

The program opened with a prayer led by Jolan Simborio. This was followed by the singing of the national anthem and the SJC hymn. Each group was then introduced through a short video presentation.

The welcome message was delivered by Agnes Basay, SHS Academic Coordinator. She encouraged the students to give their best and reminded them that research is a journey of learning and growth.

The panel of judges was introduced after the opening message. The panelists were Jhoremar M. Asis, Executive Director of the SJC Research Council; Kevin R. Sumayang, an instructor from the Institute of Human Kinetics at Visayas State University; and Jomar L. Caube, an English teacher from Panan-awan Integrated School.

The order of presentation was also announced. The participating groups were:

12 TVL A, coached by Julfa Vanessa Fernandez

12 STEM A, coached by Karl Cano

12 ABM A, coached by Caroline B. Dag-uman

12 HUMSS C, coached by Johanna Calixtro

12 STEM C, coached by Jiseryl Gura Bongabong

Each group presented their research with confidence and preparation. The audience listened closely as students explained their studies and answered questions from the panel.

After all presentations, tokens and certificates were given to the research coaches in recognition of their guidance and support. The much-awaited announcement of winners followed.

For the Best Research Paper, the champion was 12 STEM C. The rankings were as follows:

1. 12 STEM A

2. 12 HUMSS C

3. 12 TVL A

4. 12 ABM A

For Best Presenters, 12 STEM C took home the award.

The program ended with closing remarks from Caroline Bag-uman, SHS SASO. The forum was a success and showed the hard work, teamwork, and talent of the senior high school students.
