The Accountancy Department, under the leadership of Dean Tristan Jun Esclamado, formally acknowledged its Dean’s Listers for the first semester, held at the Hacbang Gym on the 6th of March, 2026.
Organized by the Accountancy Student Organization, the program commenced at 3 on a cloudy afternoon, and it was hosted by the emcees, Ms. Gleecel Jane Navarroza and Ms. Illona Reign Salabao. The event gathered students across different year levels to celebrate those who had achieved academic excellence throughout the semester.
A total of 231 Dean’s Listers were recognized during the ceremonial bit, who sauntered to the stage and exposed their glistening smiles and proud certificates altogether. Amongst them were 22 freshmen, 53 sophomores, 37 juniors, and a staggering 119 seniors who met the scholastic requirements, prided themselves on excellence, and navigated the rigorous academic demands of the curriculum to achieve such distinction.
Following the recognition ceremony, the program then proceeded with the Miting de Avance, where candidates under the Lumina Parylist presented their platforms, their plans, and their visions for successfully serving the JPIAN community.
An independent candidate, Mr. Bryle Octobre, also emerged to contest the position of president against Ms. Samantha Raye Salvatiera, the opposing nominee. Candidates running for positions such as president, executive vice president, and other student council roles introduced their proposed programs and outlined their priorities for the student body.
After presenting their firm platforms, backed up with confidence, self-trust, and openness to improvements, the candidates participated in a Q&A segment where members of the current administration raised questions regarding their initiatives and leadership plans.
The program concluded with the candidates presenting their commitments ahead of the upcoming student council election.
