Drug Awareness & Health-Wellness Seminar

Overview:
This seminar was part of SJC’s commitment to holistic student development. The event featured:

  • Talks by medical professionals on mental health, substance abuse prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Local PNP officers and DOH representatives discussed legal consequences of drug use and community support services.
  • Interactive Q&A sessions and a wellness exhibit from the College of Nursing and Allied Health.

Goal: Equip students with real-life knowledge to make informed health decisions.
Theme: “MakaSJC Ka: Smart, Just, and Clean Living.”


🕊️ 2. Blessing of the Mini-Theater & School Chapel

Date: July 12, 2025
New Cantabo Canticum Novum Mini-Theater & Chapel

Celebrant: Bishop Precioso D. Cantillas, SDB, DD
Attendees: SJC administration, faculty, and select student representatives Sjc.edu.ph

Highlights:

  • The mini-theater will serve as a venue for performing arts, film viewings, and special lectures.
  • The new chapel offers a quiet space for personal prayer and spiritual gatherings, open to all.

Remarks by Msgr. Oscar Cadayona:

“These new spaces are not just buildings. They are places of expression, reflection, and formation for the Josephinian spirit.”


💻 3. Quipper Orientation – SHS Department

Date: June 18, 2025
SJC Library

About:
Quipper is an online learning platform used across the Philippines. The orientation provided:

  • Hands-on tutorials on how to access modules, submit quizzes, and track progress.
  • Guidance for parents on how to monitor student activity.
  • A preview of teacher-generated content and schedules.

Impact: Over 200 SHS students trained in just one day, with more sessions planned for incoming Grade 11. sjc.edu.ph


4. PAASCU Accreditation Survey Visit

Date: July 7, 2025
Campus-wide review

What Happened:
The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) visited SJC for a Level II Accreditation review for both the Junior and Senior High School departments. Paascu+6

Evaluated Areas:

  • Faculty & Instruction
  • Student Services
  • Library & Learning Resources
  • Community Involvement

Next Steps: Awaiting feedback from PAASCU evaluators. Results expected late August 2025.


🙏 5. Mass of the Holy Spirit – Schoolwide Spiritual Kickoff

Purpose:
This annual event marks the official spiritual opening of the school year.

  • Students, teachers, administrators, and alumni joined the Mass.
  • Prayers were offered for guidance, wisdom, and protection throughout Academic Year 2025–2026.
